Frequently Asked Questions
Those questions you are thinking, but maybe don't want to call us to ask!
Q: Do you take reservations for campsites?
A: Sorry, we do not accept reservations for campsites for any reason. But don't worry! Once you arrive and register, we allow you to select your own campsite! PLEASE REGISTER FIRST. (we promise we'll send you through the campground after!)
Q: If I’m coming to camp and I want to get another site for my friends coming later, can I pay for them also?
A: Yes. You can go ahead and pay for their site, but you must put a tent or vehicle on the site to hold it. Remember, this is AFTER you register the campsite first. It's also very helpful if you know your friends' information, such as their names, addresses, and phone numbers!
Q: Can we pay in advance for a campsite?
A: Only if you come and set up something on the site. (i.e. tent, vehicle, or camper)
Q: How many tents can I put on one site?
A: A second tent can be set up on the site, but we charge by family unit (2 adults, 3 children). So if you have two separate families in two separate tents you will need to pay for 2 separate sites.
Q: How would I go about reserving a cabin?
A: To make a reservation you can call us at (937) 588-3725 and pay a deposit covering the first night of your stay. There is a two night minimum stay, except on holiday weekends which require a three night minimum.
Q: Is there a package for everything?
A: While we don't offer an all-inclusive package, we do have our Family Vacation Package.
Q: Am I allowed to bring kayaks?
A: Kayaks are only permitted to be used by our Permanent campers.
Q: Do you have a pool?
A: We have sandy, sloped beach with diving boards, small tube slide, etc. As required by the state of Ohio, water quality is tested weekly by an independent laboratory. We have certified life guards on duty.
Q: What's the height requirement for the Go Karts?
A: Drivers must be at least 54" to drive.
Q: How can I reserve a Shelter House?
A: Please call us to book a Shelter House and pay a deposit!
Q: Can we bring our own firewood?
A: State law prohibits the transport of firewood.
Q: Do you allow fireworks?
A: Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
Q: Do you allow golf carts?
A: Golf Carts must be registered with your campsite, and cost $10/day. They must be operated by a licensed driver. We do not allow ATVs to be unloaded and used in the park.
Q: Where is the closest Wal-Mart?
A: The closest Wal-Mart is located in either Hillsboro or Waverly; each is approximately 25 minutes away. Please see our Campground Map for other great places to shop locally!
Q: Are there grills and picnic tables on the campsites?
A: There are no grills, but every site has a fire ring and one picnic table. Charcoal grills are located in our picnic areas.
Q: Are your campsites 30 or 50 amp service?
A: We have both 30 and 50 amp service. The majority of our campsites have 50 amp.
Q: Do you have wireless internet?
A: No, we do not. Enjoy the break from all your devices!
Q: Which cellular providers have service there?
A: AT&T seems to have the best service, although it is typically "spotty" and unreliable.
Q: Can I bring my own food and drinks?
A: Alcohol, cans, and glass are not permitted in the Beach. Alcohol is ONLY allowed at campsites.
Q: Do you have a restaurant?
